Come Back
04:29
|
|||
Come back! There's so much waiting for you here. Come back, and just see for yourself, my dear; a bright sun is clearing the fog, sap is rising, and spring's turning everything beautifully green. It's too hard to be keeping all this joy to myself. I wish oceans could shrink, that my arms could reach over and lift you up to pick up right where we left it.
The other day I heard a freely improvised love song from a bird. I witnessed the wedding of two Westmount pigeons. The ground was all covered in rice, I can swear.
There are so many things to share, and it's only for you I care. I need a good reason to cook for an army and I know that you are so hungry. Light is pouring from everywhere. Tell me, why are you still there? I thought about paving a bridge between Brisbane and Montreal, but it might fall. I can only dream about the day when you'll be here, but meanwhile I can still try my best to make you come back.
There are so many pleasures here. A bright sun is clearing the fog, sap is rising and spring's turning everything golden and green.

Mal d'aimer
04:28
|
|||

Leap of Faith
04:28
|
|||
I'm so sorry I let you down. Time lies waiting, I hear no sound from you. I called you baby one last time. Binding, breaking, I turned away from you. And I took a leap of faith, a heap of love, and so much more from you. I took a leap of faith, a heap of hope, and left you none. I'm so sorry I had to go, body failing, mind opening to a no. Buried deeply, longing to hide, softly singing, I heard the sound of me.

À l'envers
03:34
|

Quiet Fire
04:54
|
|||
Past the heavy sky, past the dragonflies, after the silent thunder is over, under the rolling steam of summer. Listen! There's a quiet fire burning. Listen! there's an incandescent murmuring. There's a deep and wild song whispering. Past the swaying trees, past the rustling leaves, through the threads of a thousand spiderwebs, in the breeze that is softly brushing my head. Past the lazy stream, past the bubbling spring, beyond a chain of tranquil lakes, deeper than the bed the river makes. I wake up in the middle of it all: fire running over every part of my body. I fear I'm going to burn and fall, but this song reveals itself to me. Listen to the quiet fire burning. Listen to the incandescent murmuring, to the deep and wild song whispering. Past your hazel eyes, there's a quiet fire burning. Past your shimmering smile, there's an incandescent murmuring. Past your sparkling being, there's a deep and wild whisper singing.

Lullaby
05:52
|
|||
Close your heavy eyes - time to go. Fold into the night today's woe. Wind down, down you go, way below. Your mind sounding like a distant flow. Let yourself be carried far from your home. Let your wings take you to a peaceful unknown. And you'll be walking in strange places, and you'll see houses so peculiar, yet familiar. Then you'll be dreaming of lynx talking, and pianos burning in wild fires, of crazy elevators falling. You'll be hovering over a childhood scene, as if the wind suddenly lifted your body, slowly. Could it be just the same when we surrender to our final sleep? Close your heavy eyes - time to go. Drop into the night all you know.

Peu de mots
07:26
|
|||

05:18
|
|||
